Many times you told to your customers that your live stain glass looked much better than its photos, which could hardly reproduce even a half of its charm. Many times you made poor photos of stained glass, and your numerous attempts to improve them failed.
As a stain glass artist I faced the problem too. A high-quality photo of stained glass attracts new clients easier and faster than a pallid and feeble picture or its absence. I tried not to show poor-quality photo to a client so that he would not judge by it of the successful stained glass. So I must say that I would be able to increase my backlog of orders, if I knew before about the unique shooting and photo processing technique, allowing obtaining of wonderful stained glass photos irrespective of lighting conditions. I ran into this technique by trying, by studying experience of other photographers, by reading publications and visiting on-line forums.
Now you can see everything on my photos: light and shadow, glass patterns, stained glass in the interior, bright and saturated colors, no light spots.
The technique is named High Dynamic Range (HDR), and from this book you will know with no unnecessary details how to make magnificent photos of such a fretful object like stained glass or any other still objects possessing digital camera (any model), PC, and 30 minutes of spare time.
After mastering the technique you will pride yourself on showing your photos to others, since now your photographed stained glass looks much better in every respect. So read, take photos, and have pleasure of your stained glass photos.
You can have a look at photos of my works made using HDR technique in my web site.
